Making its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon this week, the VeilSide FFZ400 is rumored to be ‘Han’s 400Z’ in an upcoming Fast & Furious movie. This modified Nissan Z will be driven by Sung Kang and immediately stands out with its wide riveted front / rear fenders, extended front fascia, large side skirts, and a vertical winglet-equipped rear spoiler.

While not as exciting as watching an R34 drag race a Supra, the 2024 Nissan GT-R most certainly does not disappoint. Available in GT-R Premium, T-Spec and NISMO variants, the base model comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.8L V6 engine generating 565 hp and 467 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Limited to just 40-units worldwide, this 1996 R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R NISMO 400R is touted as the world’s most expensive. Adding to its rarity is the fact that this is the only example to make it stateside, as Brian Jannusch purchased the vehicle from a collector in Canada during the pandemic with just 18,641-miles on the odometer.

We know that the R36 Nissan Skyline GT-R is currently in development, with it rumored to be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8L V6 generating 600 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque straight from the factory. What we don’t know is how the vehicle will look, but automotive designer ‘hycade’ shows us what he thinks the R36 should look like.

At first glance, this just appears to be a Chevrolet Camaro outfitted with a body kit, but in reality, it’s a heavily modified Nissan R32 Skyline. This person transformed their 1993 Nissan R32 Skyline into what appears to be a Bumblebee knockoff from the Transformers movies with a hood that just doesn’t seem to fit right.

The Nissan GT-R typically isn’t the first car that comes to mind when you hear of a Bugatti Chiron drag race, but that’s exactly what ‘The Hamilton Collection’ did during their airport event. Before the main event, they pit a Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder and McLaren P1 against each other to get the runway warmed up.

Originally set for a 50-unit production run, there were allegedly only 19 Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign vehicles made, and chassis #11 could be yours, but it might cost you over $2-million. It originally retailed at $1.1-million USD, and this example is finished in a custom Liquid Silver Metallic, which costs an extra $24,500 on top of the base price.

If the 2023 Nissan Z just isn’t track worthy enough for your tastes, there’s the soon to be released Nissan Z GT4. This GT4-spec race car is based on the production model, but modified for competition use. NMC’s NISMO Racing Division transformed the street version of the new Z and tuned its VR30DDTT engine.

Sure, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale is no Halo Warthog, but it can still hold its own against a modified Nissan GT-R in a drag race. That’s right, the latter was tuned by JM Imports who boosted the GT-R’s twin-turbocharged 3.8L V6 engine to 1,000 hp and 848 lb-ft of torque, while keeping the factory weight of 3,858-pounds.

Remember the RB26-powered Mustang from ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’? Well, automotive enthusiast TJ Hunt has built his own Ford Mustang GT350 Fastback powered by a Nissan GT-R engine. First, he needed to acquire an RB26DETT engine from a friend before spending a year modifying and reinforcing its internals.
