OPPO x 2021 Rollable Smartphone Hands-On
OPPO’s rollable smartphone prototype may not hit the market until later this year or in 2022, but some have already managed to get considerable hands-on time with the device. For those who missed the initial announcement last November, it features the company’s Roll Motor powertrain, 2-in-1 Plate, and self-developed Warp Track high-strength screen laminate. Oppo Find X3 Pro Smartphone
The Oppo Find X3 Pro smartphone has officially launched, and it’s touted as having the first True Billion Color Display. More specifically, it features a 6.7-inch (3216×1440) OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 888 SoC, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and a 4500 mAh battery that boasts 65W wired SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging as well as 30W wireless charging. OPPO Wireless Air Charging
Mobile World Congress Shanghai (MWCS) 2021 attendees will not only able to see the OPPO X 2021 rollable smartphone, but also the company’s new Wireless Air Charging technology as well. The OLED display on this smartphone smoothly expands from 6.7 inches to 7.4 inches and their proprietary Warp Track screen laminate eliminates creases, while a custom-developed Roll Motor powertrain uses two drive motors to extend / retract without too much stress on the high-end display. Oppo Reno Smartphone Double-Sided Camera

Just when you thought smartphone cameras couldn’t get any more innovative, Oppo Mobile Telecommunications comes along with their double-sided pop-up camera. The company applied for a ‘Photographing module, installation drive assembly and mobile terminal’ patent with the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) at the end of October 2020 that was just approved. Gadget leaker Evan Blass gives us a first look at the Oppo Find X3 Pro smartphone, which has a rear camera bump unlike any that you’ve probably seen before. Aimed to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup, this mobile phone not only has a quad rear camera setup (2 x 50MP main and ultrawide sensors), but a 6.7-inch QHD screen with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 888 processor, and a 4500mAh battery with SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging support. Oppo x Nendo Slide-Phone
Slide-phones are probably the future, but as of yet, many are still considered more novelty items instead of flagship devices. Oppo collaborated with Japanese design studio Nendo to create the “slide-phone”, which has three hinges, giving it a triple fold design. If users slide up one fold, 40mm of the screen is revealed with basic functions that make full use of that real estate, showing items like call history, notifications, and a music player interface. Oppo smartphones may not be the most popular stateside, but from a recently filing with the CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Office), we now know they are set to release a limited Find X2 Pro Lamborghini Edition. The design sketches reveal that it will in five different colorways, all of which have the left rear side colored in black leather.
