It’s official, Overwatch Cross-Play is now live and this enables players to battle together across platforms, all powered by the latest global Battle net update. All players will need to make a Battle net account and link their appropriate console accounts. However, Cross-Play is automatically enabled for PC players. Overwatch players who run NVIDIA graphics cards just got some good news today, as NVIDIA Reflex is now available for the game. For those who don’t know, this optimizes every aspect of the rendering pipeline for latency using a combination of SDKs and driver optimizations. For example, Multiplane Overlay allows for the GPU to composite the final image planes in hardware instead of the Desktop Windows Manager (DWM), thus allowing gamers to get low latency while playing in their preferred window mode. In Overwatch, Junkrat is basically a hero that excels at defending an area through the use of traps and indirect fire, valued mainly for his damage output ans well as area denial capabilities. The RIP-Tire is a motorized tire bomb that rolls across the battlefield, climbs over walls / obstacles, and can be remotely detonated to deal serious damage to enemies caught in the blast. Blizzard officially unveiled Overwatch 2 today at Blizzcon, and this sequel will maintain a “shared multiplayer environment” between it and Overwatch so players in either game can compete together in the existing player versus player (PvP) modes. The Nintendo Switch may be getting Overwatch after Blizzard Entertainment accidentally listed an officially licensed “PowerA Protection Case” yesterday, but quickly removed it. This case was designed precisely to fit the Switch in handheld mode, and inside, you’ll find felt lining, an Overwatch logo tag, screen-protector flap with storage for nine game cards, as well as a zippered mesh storage pocket. Carolina Ravassa is a Colombian actress and producer best known for her voice over work in television series and video games, most notably Sombra from the video game Overwatch. Instead of just voicing the character, she decided to cosplay as Sombra for Katsucon, an annual three-day anime convention, complete with a custom costume made just for her. Blizzard announced Overwatch’s Chinese New Year of the Pig event last week, and it begin today, January 24 and will run through February 18. Featuring new skins for Reaper, Reinhardt, Torbjorn, Hanzo, and more. Reaper gets transformed into Lu Bu Reaper, complete with crimson details, including feathers, who is the savage general that always destroys you in the battle of Hu Lao gate. Reinhardt ditches the helmet for emerald touches as Guan Yu Reinhardt, both a historical figure and a God. Last, but not least, Hanzo gets a grey beard and yellow coat as Huang Zhong Hanzo equipped with Tiger armor to match his status as one of 5 tiger generals of Liu Bei.
