Despite being the company’s first foldable smartphone, the Tecno Phantom V Fold comes out swinging, as its main 7.85-inch LTPO AMOLED screen is larger than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4’s 7.6-inch display, while the 6.42-inch sub screen has a unique micro-curved design and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The Phantom V Fold’s main inner screen fits tightly together, resulting in a virtually invisible crease, and it’s rated for 200,000 folds.
Aside from the vibrant dual screens, it features a Mediatek Dimensity 9000+ processor, 12GB of RAM, 256GB / 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, a triple rear camera array (50MP Wide + 50MP Telephoto + 13MP Ultra-Wide), a 16MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. What sets the Phantom V Fold apart from all other foldable smartphones is that it runs HiOS13 Fold, a highly optimized and customized operating system based on Google’s Android 13. You’ll be able to use split screens, picture-in-picture, parallel windows, and have the ability to drag and drop things across the displays. Available in Q2 2023, priced from around $1,100 USD.
