We have seen the future of mobile gaming, and it’s the NVIDIA Tegra X1. Unveiled tonight at CES 2015, this GPU combines a 64-bit ARM_based processor with a Maxwell architecture-based graphics chipset. Its predecessor, the Kepler chip in the Shield and Nexus 9, already approached console-level quality and NVIDIA says the Tegra X1 surpasses those specs by at least 2x. A representative said: “The Maxwell is unquestionably the most powerful GPU we’ve ever built.”
