Tesla Drag Strip Mode Model S Plaid
You’ve probably heard about Tesla Drag Strip Mode, but the company just released a video showing how it works. When activated on a Tesla Model S Plaid, it’s capable of achieving a 0-60 mph time of 1.99-seconds, when combined with the Cheetah Stance that ensures maximum traction when launching.

Turning on Drag Strip Mode requires drivers to go into Touch Controls, Pedals & Steering, and then pressing the button. When turned on, the vehicle’s cooling fans start up to chill the drive units in preparation for the launch, while its battery pack warms up for maximum performance range. After shifting into Drive, the vehicle transitions to Cheetah Stance by holding the brake pedal with your left foot and hitting the accelerator pedal. You’ll then feel and see the front lowering to the ground for improved traction.
