Tetris Movie Apple TV Plus
AI-playing Tetris is one thing, an actual Tetris movie based on the true story is another. Set for release on Apple TV+ on March 31, this film follows Henk Rogers (Taron Egerton) as he discovers Tetris in 1988, and puts everything on the line by traveling to the Soviet Union, where he joins forces with inventor Alexey Pajitnov (Nikita Efremov) to bring this game to the world.

Most may be thinking that a movie based on a video game like Tetris would be quite boring, but this is a Cold War–era thriller, complete with double-crossing villains, unlikely heroes and many cliff hangers during the race to the finish. Other cast members include Nikita Yefremov as Alexey Pajitnov, Roger Allam as Robert Maxwell, Anthony Boyle as Kevin Maxwell, and Togo Igawa as Hiroshi Yamauchi.
