Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II Remastered arrives on the PS5 January 19, 2024, with the original campaign returning alongside technological improvements, new modes, and new behind-the-scenes features. This version will allow fans to dig deeper into both its development and mechanics, starting with a brand-new mode called No Return, a rogue-like survival mode designed to let players prove their worth in randomized encounters and experience.
The No Return mode includes multiple playable characters to choose, some playable for the first time in The Last of Us franchise, who each come with their own traits to suit different playstyles. Players can map their own course on each run, select between various stealth / combat encounters that pits them against a range of enemies, and a host of unique twists. A Guitar Free Play mode lets players strum the strings across various unlockable instruments, use audio FX pedals to modulate the performance, and play as different characters.

And good news for existing owners of The Last of Us Part II on PlayStation 4! You will be able to upgrade to a digital version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered for $10 USD at launch.
