There’s optical mice, Apple’s Magic Mouse, and now, the RollerMouse Red. Unlike other computer mice, the RollerMouse was designed to be an extension of your keyboard, which essentially consists of a sliding roller that lets you scroll on the Y axis, and slide using the X axis. Though not ideal for gaming, it does work great for digital artists, editing, and just casual use.
Plus, you’re able to control the roller on both the X and Y axes individually, which means users have much more control over where they want the cursor to be. Underneath the slider, there’s a cursor wheel (for scrolling through webpages), left, right, and center click buttons, a button to control cursor-movement-intensity, and dedicated copy / paste buttons.
