Frozen in Time Dancer

Levitation photography is nothing new, but Taiwanese-French-American photographer Mickael Jou’s self-portraits have become internet hits. Based in Berlin, he has spent the past three years combining his two passions – photography and dance – by seemingly freezing himself in time. Continue reading for more pictures and information.

“As a trained dancer, Jou used to spontaneously burst into ballet and modern dance routines on the streets of Paris, where tourists would often photograph and film him. This gave him the idea of capturing portraits of himself, and so he bought a camera and simply read the instruction manual,” says My Modern Met.
