This is not a theme park, just spherical eco-lodges that hang from the trees of the Nam Et-Phou Louey Biodiversity Conservation Area in northern Laos. In addition to the lodges for resting and sleeping, you’ll also find new observation decks for viewing endangered animal species. The former is made entirely from bamboo, timber, and a basket-like base. The base sleeps two guests comfortably, complete with separate sleeping areas and a central storage plank, while a basket-woven wall extends upwards for two feet for privacy. “Stretched over the upper parts of the floating orb is lightweight hydrophobic fabric sourced from Vietnam that protects occupants against rain. The lodges are kept in place with taut cables which are secured to neighboring trees, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint,” according to Inhabitat.
