At first, this looks like some sort of other-worldly creature, but it’s actually just the Black Dragonfish, which lurks at depth of 3,300-feet, where its body shimmers with light, disguising its shape from predators and prey. With long, jaggedy razor sharp teeth, and a wide-opening jaw, it can easily swallow prey that is more than half its size.
