Hendy Mp, a talented wildlife photographer from Indonesia, managed to capture one of the strangest scenes you’ll probably see in the natural world… a tree frog going for a wild rodeo ride on the back of a giant horned wood-boring beetle. To be more specific, this tree frog is of the Reinwardt’s Flying Frog variety, a threatened species that can glide down from trees with the skin between its fingers and toes. He says: “It was such an amazing moment, the frog just saw the beetle and decided to crawl on top. It looked like the frog was a cowboy riding a bull and it even put its right leg in the air. The frog was on the beetle for five minutes and the insect was just happily running around.” Continue reading for more pictures.
