Remember the tiny Intel 486 computer built by The Eric Experiment? Well, many fans were wondering if it can run DOOM, and the answer is yes. The entire system is based on a single-board computer (SBC) and an Intel 486DX4 processor running at 100Mhz, paired with Tseng ET4000 graphics.
Audio is provded by an ESS audiodrive card and an SMC Ethernet card provides network connectivity. No, that isn’t a real CRT monitor from the 80s / 90s, but rather a custom-built screen that uses an LCD (800 x 600) around a shell that has functional buttons as well as a front-mounted LED. For storage, a basic SD card is used, which allows it to run Windows 95 and Windows 3.11 operating systems. Unfortunately (or fortunately), this one-off creation is not for sale.
