Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One is set to hit theaters on July 12, 2023 and what better way to tease the film than a behind-the-scenes featurette of Tom Cruise (Ethan Hunt) going drift crazy in Rome for a car chase scene? Since he’s handcuffed to Haley Atwell (Grace), the entire scene is filmed with him using just one hand to pilot a BMW 5 Series and a classic Fiat 500.
What’s even crazier is the fact that the BMW 5 Series’ doors were torn off in the beginning, which means they had to also worry about being flung out onto the streets while evading both enemies as well as the police. The Fiat 500 you see is no normal vehicle either, as it has been modified with an electric drivetrain, and paying tribute to Roger Moore’s Citroen 2CV Roger Moore in “For Your Eyes Only”.
