5. Moofushi Resort

The latest five star resort to be shown off in the ocean laden land is the Moofushi Resort that’s got 110 rooms and villas to keep everyone’s heart content. The simplistic design of the beachfront property keeps the focus on the natural elements surrounding the resort, but there’s no detail left behind, especially as seen in all of their fabulous fine dining establishments and bars throughout the property. Illuminated pathways, hammocks in the water, vibrant and light colors, gorgeous natural materials – Moofushi has got it all, and more.

4. Kuramathi Island Resort

Like many of the Maldives based resorts, the Kuramathi Island Resort is built upon the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean, allowing direct water access from many of the 290 villas. As the name would suggest, this resort is located on the Kuramathi Island and features everything you would expect from a luxury resort including restaurants, spa, pool, and incredible villas.

3. Jumeirah Vittaveli Luxury Resort & Spa

Designed and developed by the team at Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts the resort destination includes a collection of 91 suites and villas all of which features incredible amenities including their own private massage room, direct beach access, and of course private pools. High rollers can spend the night in the resort’s amazing 8,600 square foot presidential suite which features an outdoor shower, spa and not one, but two private swimming pools. This luxury experience doesn’t come cheap though, and you can expect to spend anywhere from just under $1,200 all the way up to $10,000 a night.

2. Coco Palm Bodu Hithi Luxury Resort and Spa

As with many of the hotels located in Maldives, each of the 100 villas offers either over water, or waterfront views of the crystal clear waters surrounding the waters. Of course what would paradise be without incredible amenities like eight different restaurants to dine at, a spa with yoga to stay in shape and relaxed while on vacation along with Tai-Chi to help relieve the stress of daily life.

1. W Retreat and Spa

There are a handful of stunning resorts on these islands including the recently featured Ayada Maldives Resort & Hotel. One of our personal favorites is the breathtaking W Retreat and Spa on Fesdu Island, Maldives. As with the most of the resorts on these islands, the entire retreat is made up of water bungalows and villas that allow for stunning panoramic ocean views. The villas are also equipped with clear glass floor panels to remind you that youre in paradise at all times.
