GR Super Sport Concept

First revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon, the Toyota GR Super Sport Concept gives us a sneak peak at the company’s next supercar, or the successor to the LFA. This pre-production model is powered by a mid-mounted, twin-turbocharged 2.4-liter direct-injection V6 engine – THS-R hybrid system – that outputs an impressive 986-horsepower. “And while those figures are certainly impressive, the release actually means a lot more for Toyota. Namely that their future is hinging on hybridization across all facets of their automotive development. If it comes to fruition as a production vehicle, the GR Super Sport will be street legal and, as you might expect, a high price to match,” according to Hi Consumption.
