The solar panel can be attached to the camera or placed separately using a 13-ft USB-C extension cable to catch the best sunlight. It records clear 1080p video during the day with bright colors and sharp details (face, license plates, etc.). Color night vision (up to 30 ft) is possible, thanks to a large aperture lens and dual spotlights.
Most importantly, it can spot people, vehicles, and pets without needing a paid subscription, cutting down on false alarms (like trees moving in the wind). You can set custom activity zones and adjust detection sensitivity (from 1 to 10 levels) for better accuracy. Other features include two-way audio, a loud 94dB siren, and spotlights you can tweak to scare off intruders.
We already had a Kasa indoor camera so went with TP-Link again for these. Great image quality. Feels like the future being able to see in color at night. Requires a bit of adjustment to figure out how often or if you want notifications, sensitivity, etc., but that’s any camera. Have had over 6 months and still at 65% battery charge,” said one reviewer.
