Professional motorsports competitor Travis Pastrana, along with his crew at Nitro Circus, built life-sized LEGO go-karts and raced them around a real track. This wasn’t a normal race either, as it consisted of 5 laps around a track and the person with the most blocks left wins.
Those who haven’t watched the video yet are probably wondering why it would be hard to keep the blocks intact? Well, the race is full contact, so a bumper car-like experience should be expected. Fortunately, they can easily be pieced back together. Now building the entire car from LEGO might have worked, but as you can see, they needed a more sturdy chassis, as well as a powerful enough engine, to actually race these vehicles around a track.
