Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla may be the latest game, but now, Ubisoft has confirmed Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which takes place in Baghdad between the years 860-870, during the Anarchy in Samarra. Players assume the role of Basim in his youth as a thief until he arrives at the Hidden Ones where there will be multiple cities to explore, separated by desert and rivers.
This installment is reported to return to basics, with strong influences from the first Assassin’s Creed. There is allegedly going to be no more dialogue choices, gender system or even a leveling system. Basim is equipped with a String Dagger to eliminate his enemies, while a ‘Visions of Loki’ shows how the character manifested in his body. It will be available in Standard ($49.99), Deluxe ($59.99), and Collector’s Case ($149.99) editions when released on the PC, PlayStation 5 | 4, as well as Xbox Series X | S platforms in 2023.
