Unitree Technology Quadruped Robot Robotic Arm
Unitree Technology unveiled a new robotic arm, the Z1, for its quadruped robots and thankfully, it doesn’t require The Force to use. It can quickly be installed on the head of the robot, and be used to pick up objects, open / close doors, pour drinks, fastening screws, or even for a lighsaber duel. The company is not limiting its use to just industrial applications, as it’s also engineered for industrial use.

Available in Air and Pro models, the Z1 features 6° of freedom, collision detection, and the ability to learn tasks when physically guided through the necessary movements, all running on the Ubuntu operating system. Don’t expect these arms to lift much, as they have a maximum lifting capacity of 4.4-pounds and 11-pounds, respectively.
