A mysterious 7-mile long, 5-mile wide super pod of dolphins that numbered in the 100,000’s was spotted off the coast of San Diego. According to Joe Dutra, “They were coming from all directions, you could see them from as far as the eye can see”. Continue reading for the video and more information.

The DailyMail reports that a typical dolphin pod consists of between 15-200 animals and what Mr Dutra saw last Thursday is best described “as a super mega pod given the astonishing size of the group.” Even more puzzling? Experts have not yet been able to pinpoint any specific reason as to why so many of the mammals were traveling together on this particular night.
