When is a bridge, not just something you walk or drive across? When it looks like a giant fire-breathing dragon. That’s exactly what the people of Vietnam’s Da Nang City built. Simply put, it’s a fully-functional $85-million bridge that has six lanes for cars and two for bikes, complete with 15,000 LED lights. Continue reading for two videos and more information.

The bridge, which is 666 metres long, opened on March 29 – the 38th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang city during the Vietnam War. Construction started in July 2009, and the bridge is now the shortest route across the Han River from Da Nang airport to the beaches on the east side.
