Vivo X Fold First Folding Smartphone
The Vivo X Fold is the company’s first folding smartphone, and it’s definitely no slouch. Featuring an 8.03″ inside screen, 6.53″ outside screen, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 System-on-Chip (SoC), 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of internal storage, a quad rear camera system (50MP Main + 48MP Ultrawide + 12MP 2x Telephoto + 8MP 5x Periscope), two 16MP hole-punch selfie cameras on each screen, and a 4600mAh battery, all running on Android 12.

Unlike other folding smartphones, this one has two ultrasonic fingerprint scanners that are built into each of the 120Hz refresh rate OLED panels. Both Vivo and Oppo are owned by BBK Electronics, which means that it may remain exclusive to the Chinese market. As for pricing, it’s expected to retail for $1,400 USD for the base model (12GB RAM + 256GB Storage) and $1,570 USD to get the higher end model with 512GB of storage space.
