Officially unveiled in Milan, the Volvo EX30 is the company’s first small premium electric SUV and available to order. The Single Motor Extended Range base model has a single, rear-mounted motor generating 268 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque, connected to a 69 kWh NMC battery that is good for 275-miles on a full charge. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.1-seconds and charge from 10% – 80% in around 26.5-minutes.
A Twin Motor Performance variant boasts two electric motors that produce a combined 422 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to hit 60 mph in just 3.4-seconds. Expect up to a 265-mile range on a full charge using the same battery as the Single Motor Extended Range. The Twin Motor has a charging capacity of up to 153kW, which means it can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just over 25 minutes. Both models feature Park Pilot Assist feature, which can auto park the vehicle in several types of parking spots including parallel, curved, perpendicular and diagonal fishbone-style. Available now for pre-order in the US, priced from $34,950 USD.
