Woman Replace Eye China Prosthetic Light Up
An 18-year-old woman lost an eye after a car accident in 2013 and had it replaced with a prosthetic. This resulted in Xia Tong wanting to become a prosthetic eye technician, which means her being able to experiment with the latest technologies, including ones that light up in different colors.

After posting herself with one of these light-up prosthetic eyes, she became a social media sensation. Changing colors is as easy as pressing a button, and smartphone control may be coming in the future. When she’s not answering questions on social media, she is helping those in a similar position cope with needing a prosthetic eye, making her journey to becoming an ocularist well worth the time spent. On a related note, this bionic nose is far more practical for anyone who needs one.
