The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric hypercar builds upon its predecessor and gives it more power than most supercars. It comes equipped with three of Xiaomi’s self-developed HyperEngine V8s electric motors, each making 578 hp and 468 lb-ft of peak torque.
The 4,189 pound prototype makes a combined 1,548 hp and 1,404 lb-ft of torque, with the motors connected to a Kirin 2 battery, which was jointly developed by Xiaomi and CATL, enabling it to hit 62 mph in just 1.97 seconds while topping out at 217 mph. This 897V battery pack features up to 1,330 kW of discharge power, and produces over 800 kW when running at 20% SoC. There’s no word yet on if a production version is coming, but we do know this prototype is going to tackle the Nurburgring non-production lap record in October.
