HyperOS 3 runs the show, with silky-smooth performance and a plenty of watch face options to keep things looking new. It works with Android phones from 8.0 and iOS devices from 14.0 onwards, all via the Mi Fitness app. Notifications arrive on time, and most smartphones provide rudimentary control functions such as remote camera shutter or audio playback. For navigation, there’s a physical crown and side button, as well as a touchscreen to assist you get around.

Magnetic charging is quite simple; simply place your watch on its charging dock and you’re ready to go. That puts it in a better position than some of the other smartwatches on the market, which have a significantly shorter battery life and little else. Since its first release in China, availability has expanded slightly; you can now obtain one in Europe and other locations as well.
