Geely reveals the ZEEKR 001 FR, an electric shooting brake with four motors making a combined 1,247 hp and 944 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to hit 62 mph in just 2.07 seconds, while achieving an electronically limited top speed of 174 mph. This means it’s ready to take on the Tesla Model S Plaid straight from the factory and at a comparable price.
Starting from just over $138,500 USD, it comes equipped with CATL’s next-generation, 100-kilowatt-hour Qilin batteries that can be charged from 10% – 80% in just 15 minutes using the ZEEKR’s V3 fast charging piles capable of a maximum output of 800kW (1000V, 800A). It also has a satellite communications pack to eliminate cellular network black out spots. Deliveries are set to begin later this year in China, with no word yet on availability in Europe or North America.
