2020 Corvette C8 Mid-Engine

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8 has been officially unveiled, and it’s the first model to boast a mid-engine design. The 6.2-liter V8 powerplant generates 490 horsepower (495 hp with the optional Z51 Performance Package), mated to a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. If you opt for the Z51 Performance Package, Chevrolet claims it can hit 60 mph in under three seconds, and for comparison, the current C7 ZR1 hits the same speed in 2.8 seconds. Style wise, it features an aggressive front fascia, aerodynamic side skirts, muscular rear fenders, a ventilated engine cover, double bubble roof, and sculpted bodywork that channels air into two massive side scoops. Inside, there’s a pair of digital displays for instrument cluster and infotainment system. GM claims the C8 Stingray will start at around $70,000.
