Professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. made an appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed for the Hillclimb event and in none other than the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500, which is currently Ford’s most powerful street-legal production vehicle. Priced from $73,995, it’s powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 that generates 760 hp and 625 lb-ft of torque, good for a 0-62 mph time of 3.5 seconds and quarter-mile run in under 11 seconds. There’s no word yet on top speed, but rumor has it that Ford will electronically limit it to 180 mph. How does it compare to the competition? It fits right in between the 707 hp Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and 791 hp Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye. If you’re talking supercars, the McLaren 720S sports a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 producing 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque.
