Winter officially begins on December 21 in the Northern Hemisphere, but some places, like Buffalo, have already seen an entire season’s worth of snow. On a completely unrelated side note, today is Dec. 13, 2014, which represents the last sequential calendar date for at least 20 years – Jan. 2, 2034 (1/2/34) – and another 89 years if waiting for Jan. 2, 2103 (1/2/3).
