A biometric card is useful, but a Samsung Galaxy Ring wearable device eve more so when it comes to daily activities. This recently uncovered patent approved by the Korean Intellectual Property Right Information Service (KIPRIS) came with a set of sketches that describe such a device, one that could be used to control everything from Samsung TVs to their smartphones, tablets, and even air conditioners.
It features a standard ring-shaped body, a small AMOLED screen that stays hidden when off, complete with touch functions, and several sensors for possibly health monitoring features. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on when it will be officially announced, although a similar device, the Oura Ring 3, is priced from around $299 USD.
