Apple’s iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus may look slightly different from its predecessor, as in having a vertical rear camera setup. That’s right, instead of the diagonal sensor layout inside a squarish bump, it’s now just a vertical stripe.

Why the vertical layout? This would enable the two lower iPhone 16 models to shoot spatial video where the main and ultra-wide sensors record footage that looks normal on smartphones, but appear to be 3D on Apple Vision Pro. Other rumored specs include the A17 Pro chip, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage (base model), and a 3,550mAh battery. It’s still too early to confirm any design or hardware rumors, especially since the press event is still months away (September).
