Hawaiian Airlines Starlink WiFi Test
Rich DeMuro, a tech reporter for KTLA, tested out the new Hawaiian Airlines Starlink WiFi on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu recently, and it shows why in-flight entertainment systems may be a thing of the past.

For now, the service is complimentary, and users can experience speeds in excess of 300Mbps, depending on the plane’s location relative to the Starlink satellites. Starlink internet is currently only available on Hawaiian Airlines’ 18 A321neo aircraft, with the service rolling out to more in their fleet, including the new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, later this year.
