Elon Musk recently gave Everyday Astronaut’s Tim Dodd an in-depth tour of SpaceX’s Starfactory in Bosa Chica, Texas. We not only get to see where various rocket components are built, but also the Starship vehicle assembly area itself.
Elon Musk hopes the new facility will eventually be able to produce 100 Starship vehicles each year, with the ultimate goal of 1,000 annually, although the latter would require even more production facilities. We also get a sneak peek at a room where the massive Raptor engines that power the Super Heavy booster are located. For those wondering, it doesn’t have a heat shield because it requires integral cooling circuits throughout all of the engine’s parts.

- This premium die-cast spacecraft features realistic details and authentic designs that are true to the Matchbox tradition.
- It comes in special, display-ready packaging for the ultimate in collectability.

I know Elon’s always ‘very’ optimistic about timelines but at least he and his team is always moving forward and not hiding behind closed doors. This type of access is unheard of and we have no idea how lucky we are specially to the future engineers out there,” said one fan.
