Electric Siemens Mireo Plus B Tesla Giga Train
The first battery-electric Tesla Giga Train, also known as the Siemens Mireo Plus B, has entered service in Germany. It takes passengers from Erkner Station to Tesla Sud, located at the company’s manufacturing facility around 20 miles southeast of Berlin.

This battery-powered is completely free to ride and can be charged on either an electrified track or run purely on battery power running on standard tracks. There are a total of 120 seats, but has enough room to transport up to 500 people per trip. The Toshiba-manufactured lithium-titanium-oxide batteries can travel up to 74-miles on battery power alone, plenty for the 3.5 mile journey between the two stations.
