Since there is no disc drive, you’re basically running emulators off of a memory card, as it boots right into Free MCBoot. No, plugging in an external disc drive does not work. The actual games run off of several different emulators, and this one came pre-loaded with thousands of titles spanning various consoles.

The issue you’re probably having with the games not loading from the memory card is that you left the SD card in the PS2 as well. The way this mod works is by redirecting the memory card slot 2 pins to the SD card slot. The memory card you got with the SD card in it is basically doing the same thing. I believe that the PS2 and OPL are confused because you’re trying to load from both the memory card and internal SD card at the same time. This may also help with the games not appearing from the SD card, find a setting to load from memory card/USB and it could fix it,” said one commenter.
