Combining the handling of a mirrorless with the resolution of a medium format camera, Fujifilm’s GFX100 features a weather-resistant 6-inch square body that weighs in at a sturdy 3 lbs. and its 55mm back-side illuminated sensor offers an incredible 102 megapixels of resolution while sporting 5-axis image-stabilization and on-board phase detection AF.
Other features include 4K video recording, a quad-core image processor, and Fuji’s legendary color reproduction round out the feature list. Louis Ferreira of Fuji Addict recently used this camera, paired with a Fujinon GF 110mm f/2 R WR LM lens at f/2, to capture the moon.

I wanted to demonstrate the stupid amount of resolution and detail that the GFX100 can capture. The amount of detail retained is pretty crazy in my opinion and goes well beyond what a 50-60MP camera can capture. With the GFX100’s ability to crop you could take one photo and share hundreds of crops from it without anyone noticing, due to the amount of detail the camera captures,” said Ferreira.
