AI Portraits
Always wanted to turn your own selfies into classical 15th century Renaissance paintings? If so, then artificial intelligence is here to save the day, or to be more specific, a website called AI Portraits. Researchers at the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab created this website, which allows users to upload a selfie and wait while the algorithm, which by the way, was trained on 45,000 portrait images, to create a fake watercolor, oil or ink painting. The database has been trained on a fairly wide range of artists, including Rembrandt and van Gogh, and utilizes a generative adversarial network (GAN) to create new features from scratch. Have more than one selfie? Each one will generate a unique result. Try it here now (currently down due to immense traffic).

“Not only colors, but shapes, the lines of the face are completely redesigned by the model,” according to the site.
