Does the new all-electric Ford Capri look familiar? If so, that’s because the vehicle is based on the classic from the 1960s, but now has the underpinnings of VW’s ID platform. The Explorer-inspired interior boasts a 14.6-inch infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, and sporty seats.
There’s a single-motor variant generating 282 hp and 402 lb-ft of torque, good for up to 389-miles on the WLTP cycle if optioned with an extended-range battery. Or, you could opt for the two-motor variant that pumps out 335 hp and 501 lb-ft of torque, but has a slightly reduced range of 368 miles. A release date has not yet been announced, but pricing should begin at around $58,000 USD.
