You’ve seen the Game Boy speedometer mod, how check out the Anbernic RG35XXSP, a Game Boy Advance SP-inspired handheld designed for retro gaming. Technical specifications have not been confirmed, although it does appear to have a 2.9″ screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio, just like Nintendo’s version.
It should be running Linux, which means that the option for custom firmware is not out of the question. However, similar handhelds are not powerful enough to emulate games from more powerful consoles such as the PS2, Nintendo Game Cube, SEGA Dreamcast, etc. Other confirmed features include 5Ghz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity with multi-controller support, HDMI out, and Moonlight streaming. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
