Many want to travel, but are aware of the risks associated with getting on planes. What if you could stay in your very own floating hotel suite? Introducing Anthénea, which was designed by French naval architect Jean-Michel Duacancelle. This solar-powered, autonomous pod was inspired by “Atlantis”, a deep-sea citadel and laboratory featured in the 1977 Bond classic The Spy Who Loved Me. This floating UFO is fully self-sufficient and capable of running off the grid. Featuring solar panels connected to six powerful batteries capable of recharging from the pontoon, an expansive glass floor for breathtaking underwater views, a living room, bedroom, bathroom, as well as a plush relaxation area on the rooftop which accommodates up to twelve adults. That’s not all, it also comes equipped with a 360° solarium.
