Apple’s new 24-inch iMac M3 was unveiled back in October, and many wondered if this model would be more user repair friendly. Well, the answer is yes, but you’ll still have to be very comfortable with removing adhesives and tiny internal screws.
The good news is that its 24-inch 4.5K display can easily be removed by disconnecting cables, although you’ll need to remove the stand to use the computer with a VESA mount. On the bright side, there’s just one user replaceable CMOS battery instead of two like its predecessor.
- Apple M1 Pro or M1 Max chip for a massive leap in CPU, GPU, and machine learning performance
- Up to 10-core CPU delivers up to 3.7x faster performance to fly through pro workflows quicker than ever
- Up to 32-core GPU with up to 13x faster performance for graphics-intensive apps and games
Millions of users absolutely love iMac for its stunning design and expansive 24-inch, 4.5K Retina display that’s the perfect size to spread out with all their favorite apps and get things done. And now M3 brings even more speed to everything users do, whether multitasking, creating captivating images and videos, working on a business plan, or playing their favorite games,” said John Ternus, Apple’s Senior VP of Hardware Engineering.
