AirPods Pro uses two microphones combined with advanced software to continuously adapt to each individual ear as well as headphone fit, removing background noise to provide superior noise-canceling experience. The first one faces outwards to detect external sound to analyze environmental noise, while a second inward-facing microphone listens toward the ear to adapt the noise-cancellation sound signal 200 times per second.
