Unveiled at CES 2020, Arcade1Up’s new NBA Jam cabinet is unlike any of its past offerings. How so? It’s the first one with built-in WiFi for free online multiplayer. That’s right, after turning on the machine, you’ll be able to jump right into an online game with other plays around the world, just like you used to at your local arcade. That’s not all, you don’t just get one game in this cabinet, but three – NBA Jam, NBA Jam Tournament Edition and NBA Hangtime – with all of them boasting online multiplayer. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability, but similar machines without WiFi have retailed at $299, or $399 the tabletop version loaded with a dozen games.
