Aston Martin Bulldog 200mph Restoration
The one-off Aston Martin Bulldog from 1979 was initially planned to have a production run of 15-25 units, but the project was scrapped due to being too costly. Aston Martin claimed that the Bull Dog could hit a top speed of 237 mph, thanks to a twin-turbocharged 5.3L V8 making 600 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

However, it only managed to reach 191 mph during a test run in late 1979. Classic Motor Cars restored the Aston Martin Bulldog for current owner Phillip Sarofim and put Le Mans driver Darren Turner behind the wheel for another shot at Machrihanish Airfield in Scotland. Over 7,000-hours went into the restoration project and it was well worth the effort, as the Bulldog achieved a top speed of 205.4 mph.
