Boring Company Tesla Race
The Boring Company has just released released dashcam footage of two Tesla vehicles racing — one using surface streets, and the other in the company’s 1.14-mile test tunnel. As you might’ve guessed, the one driving under Hawthorne won, and by a large margin. The Tesla in the tunnel took exactly 1-minute, 36 seconds to reach the destination, hitting 127 mph, and the car using the roads arrived in 4-minutes, 45 seconds, mainly due to being stuck at a red light.

This race was uploaded to Twitter less than 24 hours after the Boring Company received its first approval to dig a pair of tunnels beneath the Las Vegas Convention Center. The $48.6 million project is set to be completed in time for the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2021, although Musk has suggested it could be up and running by the end of the year.
