The Boring Company has just released released dashcam footage of two Tesla vehicles racing — one using surface streets, and the other in the company’s 1.14-mile test tunnel. As you might’ve guessed, the one driving under Hawthorne won, and by a large margin. The Tesla in the tunnel took exactly 1-minute, 36 seconds to reach the destination, hitting 127 mph, and the car using the roads arrived in 4-minutes, 45 seconds, mainly due to being stuck at a red light. “The race was posted to Twitter less than 24 hours after the Boring Company received its first approval to dig a pair of tunnels beneath the Las Vegas Convention Center. The $48.6 million project is slated to be completed in time for the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2021 — though Musk has suggested it could be up and running by the end of the year,” reports The Verge.
