It’s no Bugatti EB110, but the Bugatti W16 Mistral roadster will be slightly more limited with just 99-units set to be manufactured. This hypercar is based on the Chiron Super Sport and powered by its quad-turbocharged 8.0L W16 engine making 1,578 hp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
What sets the W16 Mistral apart from the Chiron Super Sport are its doors, which feature an innovative architectural arrangement that allows them to absorb an exceptional amount of energy in the event of a side impact, thus keeping both the driver as well as passenger safe and secure. Due to it being a roadster, an all-new advanced air intake system had to be crafted specifically for the W16 Mistral. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability.

That is why we had to start afresh when we decided to build the W16 Mistral, the ultimate tribute to our rich roadster history and our legendary W16 engine. A Chiron without a roof might be an amazing car for many others, but it wouldn’t meet the uncompromisingly high standards that Bugatti adheres to.
