Canon AI Deep Learning Image Processing Technology Noise Blur
Canon’s new AI-powered deep learning image processing technology reduces noise, blur and moiré in photos without losing any detail. It was trained on a large database of images that Canon has collected through the development of cameras and lenses, consisting of a wide range of subjects. Although not seen here, it can also handle the annoying glow effect from lights and other high contrast scenes.

The ‘teacher images’ and ‘student images’ contain both RAW camera files as well as lens photographs. By combining the three areas of image correction with the deep learning processing technology, the images are drastically improved, resulting in a true-to-life image that most photo editing software cannot achieve. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on when we’ll see this tool or if it is going to be integrated directly into a future Canon camera.
